Hybrid Chaotic Maps-Based Artificial Bee Colony for Solving Wind Energy-Integrated Power Dispatch Problem

A chance-constrained programming-based optimization model for the dynamic economic emission dispatch problem (DEED), consisting of both thermal units and wind turbines, is developed. In proposed model, probability scheduled power (WP) included in set problem-decision variables it determined based on system spinning reserve load at each hour horizon time. This new strategy avoids, one hand, risk insufficient WP high demand low and, other failure opportunity to properly exploit reserve. The objective functions problem, which are total production cost emissions, minimized using a hybrid chaotic maps-based artificial bee colony (HCABC) under several operational constraints, such as generation capacity, loss, ramp rate limits, constraints. effectiveness feasibility suggested framework validated 10-unit 40-unit systems. Moreover, test robustness HCABC algorithm, comparative study performed with various existing techniques.
